Crazy Dreams Band - War Dream (Holy Mountain, LP)
Why, in a year when we were inundated by a million mediocre things getting a ton of play, was War Dream criminally underhyped and, seems to me, virtually unrecognized? No doubt about it, it’s one of the better stretched out rock LPs bands 2010 could offer, full of deep and dark loose-blues groove and one of the best singers around in Lexie Mountain. Dunno, maybe it’s just because I was one of the lucky few converted by seeing ‘em live (honestly, go if you can), but War Dream to me is just one of those records that consistently finds the pocket and can just go.
